Ing. Rachel Vaucher, Ph.D. has been working in the French nuclear safety authority (ASN) for 20 years, where she is currently an engineer-inspector in the nuclear pressure equipment department. Her background is in mechanical engineering and pressure equipment. Before joining the nuclear pressure equipment department in 2021, she worked in the department of nuclear power plants of ASN, in particular for the 4th PSR of 900 MWe reactors and continuation of operation. Between 2009 and 2012, she spent 3 years in the US NRC, especially in license renewal. She has developed an experience in ageing management, for example in the framework of the IAEA project IGALL and SALTO missions.
