Ir. Pascal De Langhe, Ph.D. obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Ghent in 1990. In 1994, he completed his PhD. in applied sciences at the same university. From 1994 to 2006, he worked at the telecom company Alcatel (now Nokia), where he held various management positions in research, engineering, product management and business development. He was Vice President of the TDM business group, responsible worldwide for the design, production and sales of Alcatel's TDM multiplexer products. In 2006 he joined the family company ETAP, based in Malle. ETAP is active in energy efficient solutions for industrial and emergency lighting, established in several European countries. He led the emergency lighting business division. From 2009 he joined the ETAP executive committee and held various director positions in the company. He was CEO of the group from 2016 to 2018. Since 2019, he is director of Business Development and Support, member of the management team, at SCK CEN, the Belgian nuclear research centre in Mol. He holds mandates in start up and scale up companies: chairman of the board of PanTera, member of the board of Magics and member of the board of advice of Kioz.
