Ms B.R. Mashele hold the Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in industrial engineering management, and is currently pursuing a masters degree in mechanical engineering. She has more than 19 years of experience in nuclear industry. Since 2004 she has been in Eskom’s employment working at Koeberg nuclear power plant (NPP) in South Africa occupying various technical and managerial positions in operations and engineering.

In the last 8 years her main focus has been on preparation for long-term operations (LTO) of Koeberg NPP. She is the senior manager overseeing the planning and implementation of preparation activities for LTO, including the ageing management activities, periodic safety review and compilation of the LTO safety case for the life extension. She also served in the International Atomic Energy Agency IGALL phase 6 steering committee and is currently a member of phase 7 steering committee.
